Hot to set custom paper size on dot martix

Hi there, i have a dot matrix printer, model is panasonic kx-p1121. After i install the printer, i found that it do not support user to set custom paper size. I want to print on a fanfold paper with the size 8.5" x 5.5" but it only have 8" x 6". i found that only ms office allow to set custom size, but if i'm using other software, they are using the driver paper size. And i try to install other dot martix printer, it also can't set custom paper size.
So, how can i solve this problem?

Start, Printers and Faxes, Server Properties, create the custom size.
