Hot Stand-By Exchange Server

I want to have a stand by Exchange Server that will every day take last nights backup and apply it. My question is the 2nd or stand by server - Will it have to be in the same domain or a different domain. I use Backup Exec, but will the restore cause any problems with the production server?
