I've recently pruchased another server for out "hot" site. This server will be used for Exchange recovery. The hardware on this server doesn't even come close to matching the hardware on my current production Exchange server so, a full backup/restore is out of the question.
I know how to reinstall Exchange using the /disasterrecovery switch. That works great and it's has very few steps.
My question to you is, has anyone been able to install Exchange on another box to the point where, all they would need to do is Join the domain and start the Exchange services, then restore the DB? If so, how did you do it?
How about WAN replication? Has anyone setup the MDBDATA folder for replication? I know there are 3rd party replication products like Double-Take, XOSoft, etc...that will do the job but I was wondering if I would be able to use Veritas Storage Replicator.
