Hot dial to a pager

I'm trying to set up a panic button. I want that activating it sends a numeric message to a pager. I tried to configure an analog set with FTR HOT D to the pager number. It works, but I have to put the numeric msg manually. When I want to insert the numeric msg, it does not work. I tried to insert a pause (*) followed by the numeric message whitout success. Someone has an idea? Thanks!

use a dsc then a dgt to insert the additional digits,,, still not something i would bet on hitting every time.. page provider has to answer on 1st ring
