HI Guys
Looking some help on this issue..

server edition 11.0.1
Primary , Secondary, 1 Expansion all same version
J179,J169 phones

Issue
these 3 users are built on primary
when I hot desk on to the primary system the user work and the BLF user buttons work ok
I can see each others status

User rights are built the same on the 3 systems with the same name
user rights name: ICT DEPT
same 3 x intercom buttons (apply as part of user rights)
then Manually programming the user buttons on each phone for the other 2 users in the dept

when I log one of these 3 users into the secondary I cant see the other 2 users Status.
they appear as busy on the led indicators.
I can call them using the buttons then have to press CALL to ring them

same issue on the expansion system the users buttons show as busy.

But if I hot desk them on to the same system the buttons work.
I can then see the other users

it seems when they are on different systems the user buttons don't transfer properly
even though the buttons appear on the phones they always show busy.

as soon as I press *36 the phones go back to the original state and the buttons work as normal.

any ideas on what I can try next

Assuming these sites are being routed somewhere (Not the same subnet) I would say you are blocking port 50799. The port used for BLF.

Dermis and feline can be divorced by manifold methods.*

Thanks for the reply
ok will get the IT guy to look..

thanks will let you know

Looks as if the port is open across the network

I think I will look at the security settings and lower the https to see if it helps.

Also I will look at the web socket lines between the servers
At the moment they are set to medium.
I will set them to insecure to see if that helps.

Fingers crossed.

I think I found my answer..

Remote hot desking

Remote Hot Desking
Updated: 3/20/2019
The system supports hot desking between systems within a network.

In the descriptions below, the system on which the user is configured is termed their 'home' system, all other systems are 'remote' systems.

When a user logs in to a remote system:

The user's incoming calls are rerouted to that system.
The user's outgoing calls uses the settings of the remote system.
The user's license privileges move with them, for example their user profile setting is retained. The host system does not need to be licensed for the user.

The user's own settings are transferred. However, some settings may become unusable or may operate differently.
User rights are not transferred to the remote system but the name of any user rights associated with the user are transferred.

If user rights with the same name exist on the remote system, then they will be used.
The same applies for user rights applied by time profiles, if time profiles with the same name exist on the remote system .

Appearance buttons configured for users on the home system will no longer operate.

Various other settings may either no longer work or may work differently depending on the configuration of the remote system at which the user has logged in.

Looks as if it’s working as designed

You are right..after I posted that. I thought I was wrong..

Because they work on my test system ok..

still haven't resolved this

tried changing settings on servers and Lowered security on websocket lines

the servers are on different subnets in different city's

I have 4 phones registered on the Primary server. 4001,4002.4003,4004
if I hot desk these 4 on to existing extns on the Primary server the user BLF works and can they see the other users BLF.
If I hot desk 1 of these Primary users 4004 on to the Secondary server the Primary phones will see the user as busy and flashes the led red
The user 4004 that's hot desked on to the Secondary server can see all the users on the Primary ok.
4001,4002,4003 BLF led is out and flashes red when phone is in use Normal behaviour

if I log all these users on to the Secondary Server they can see the BLFs of each other ok.
If I log all these users on to the Primary Server they can see the BLFs of each other OK.

PORT 50799 is open ok..

has any body got other suggestions on what to look for or test.[ponder]
