Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3.
C:\Windows\drivers\etc\hosts

Hosts file is not recognized.

127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.0.2 intranet.mybase

When entering it does not resolve to 192.168.0.2. I tried to encode with ANSI, etc and still not working. I created a new file, still not working. The registry shows the path is correct. On Windows 7, it works fine. Anyone has any idea?

Regards,
Jim

Make sure there is a carriage return/line feed <Enter> after the last line in the file.
Example:
Code:
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.0.2 intranet.mybase
<blank line here>

Also, make sure there is no extension on the filename like .txt or something.
