Feb 4, 2004 #2 olded Programmer Oct 27, 1998 1,065 US Hi: This tends to be rather site specific, but here are 3 things I'd check under Solaris 7: 1) /etc/nodename should have the name of the server. 2) check the transport loop back files if they exist: /etc/net/ticlts/hosts /etc/net/ticots/hosts /etc/net/ticotsord/hosts each should have the server name in it. 3) You need a crash dump directory for the server if it doesn't always exist: mkdir -p /var/crash/<servername dumpadm -s /var/crash/<servername> > /dev/null check the MAN page on dumpadm Regards, Ed Upvote 0 Downvote
