My WINNT 4.0 server (PDC) had a wierd problem. The hostname got changed to the BDC hostname and the directory structure got changed. Im not sure how this happened....is it due to virus or someone hacked into the system.
I have 4 partition.
Drive C: as System
Drive D: as Programfiles
Drive E: as Personal
Drive F: as MySQL
Today morning when i saw, the server was not on the network. I had to reinstall the adapter to bring back the server to the network. The hostname had changed from xxxx to zzzz (which is the name of the BDC). Then i realised that Drive D: and Drive C: had got swaped. so C: became programfiles and D: became system. All the files were moved across. This sounds crazy but this is what had happened....
Any help would be appriciated.
