I have our company website hosted on a server running Win2kserver.
I came in this morning and for some reason no-one can access the site. I have rebooted the server and checked to make sure the is started but no use.
When I type in the address in IE it looks for the page and starts to open the page but just keeps trying and brings nothing up.
I have not had any experience with this before as it was all installed by a third party.
Are there any checks I can do to make sure all that is supposed to be running is running.

for one you should make sure that the server does in fact have internet access and/or that the IP address has not changed. if the server is not behind a firewall try "pinging" the website in DOS to see if there is a reply. if the server has a public IP see if you can ping it then browse to it. if your router has it set-up on a specific port make sure those settings haven't changed.
