We are in a building with multiple companies. Our system has ample capacity and call centre technology. The powers that be want to know if it is possible to provide these other companies in our building with telephone service and call centre technology from our switch, hosting telephony services.

I have heard of other companies doing this, but I have absolutely no idea what is involved.

Does anybody have any ideas on what I should? Is it worth the time to investigate? are there legalities I need to beaware of?

YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT TENANT SOFTWARE AND MAYBE MULTI-CUSTOMER SOFTWARE THIS COMES STANDARD ON OPT 11 ENHANCED BUT IF YOU HAVE ANYTHING LARGER GET YOU WALLET OUT. OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

before you spend a lot of time go to

LD 22
REQ PKG

this will list the packages that you have in your switch.

See if you have PKG 2 which is Multi-Customer.
PKG 86 is Multi-Tenent.

With Multi-Cust you can have up to 100 customers on the switch, each Cuatomer has there own trunks, Attendent and phones. With Multi-Tenent they can share your trunks but then you need an accounting system so you can bill them back for usage. If it was me I would prefer to do Multi-Customer as there are less problems with billing as they would pay for there own trunks and usage.
