Hi,

I have a little but not enough knowledge on this matter and was hoping someone could give me some advice.

We are looking to have our servers hosted with Rackspace. At present we have around 40 users in our office and currently have a 2Mbps leased line, there is a fair amount of inbound traffic through VPNs along with the standard outbound mail and net traffic. Users connect and use apps through a Citrix PS4.0 environment. It is not published on the net. If we moved onto the hosted solution we would preferably like to have all sites connecting direct to them via VPNs rather than to HO and then to the hosting site as this obviously causes another point of failure (The reason for Rackspace is to get a more resilient service for the users 24/7). I realise publishing Citrix on the net would save a lot of money but the company is just not secure enough for it to be possible at this point in time. I was also wondering what infrastructure would be necessary to keep at HO besides a DC without duplicating too much on the hosting site. Any comments or advice on this setup would be gratefully appreciated.

I was looking to utilise a number of DSL connections as a cheaper option to a leased line but was wondering how it would work and if it were feasible when using a VPN. In theory however many routers will all need to connect to the same firewall and traffic be shared equally, is this possible or do I need a number of smaller firewalls and seperate the traffic with different gateways on the users' machines? Would anyone advise dual wan routers instead? Can you use seperate ISPs with dual wan routers? Any comments yet again welcome!

Thank you all in advance.
