Hello. I am a virgin server administrator and would very much appreciate assistance in setting up my website and a friends. I recently forked out the money to lease a server and setup the domain names to point to their servers. It looks as though those servers in turn point to my server where the sites will reside. I am unclear as to where the sites should sit (folder). I have filtered through help files and this forum to no avail.
My Questions:
Windows 2000 Advanced Server
1) Where do I administer multiple websites?
I.E. where the folders should be placed to be accessed by the public.
2) Is there a typical place on Server 2000 where different site folders should sit?
I have looked through the server hard drive and found the "Inetpub" folder then the " folder" - Is this where I should create "mysite.com" and "myfriend.com" folders?
I apologize for my ignorance on this subject but I hope I can learn this and in the future share this knowledge with others.
