Well I guess this should be simple, but it does not appear to be.

After I set up Sharepoint and connected to my exchange mailbox folder, Outlook added a Sharepoint folder. Good.

Intuitively I believe I should be able to drag a contact down from the Mailbox Contacts folder into the Test Contacts folder under Sharepoint.

I get an 80070005 error that states

"Failed to copy one or more items because some are not compatible with Sharepoint. The failed items were moved to your Local Failures folder and replaced with copies from the server".

The assistance link from Microsoft is no longer availabe.

I have admin permissions.

This works on my hosted service. You might try removing the connection from Outlook (Tools > Account Settings > SharePoint lists) then add it back. Try adding just one contact from Outlook without much detail ... it might be some content in one of the contact's fields that is incompatible. Hope that is helpful.

Hi Jedownsjr:

The first part didn't matter but the aha! appeared with your second suggestion. Even though I had a in the website name, as soon as I manually prefaced it with an http:// everything worked.

I think that's a bug so heads up all!

Paul
