Strange one, using VMWARE workstation v5.5.3 my host PC completely reboots as soon as my SOE install gets to a point where it maps some drives run some VBscript.

This has worked without fail for at least the last six months, then around 3 days ago just started rebooting. I have since upgraded to a fresh PC, fresh install of the host OS and VMWare, and at the same point during our SOE install it still reboots. I can install a vanilla XP OS and it boots fine. I can even access out corp network, but even if I run the .BAT file manually, the reboot appears at the same point.

This has me tearing my hair out as it is happening to no one else in my department.

Any ideas?

Sounds like there is a GPO or Security measure in place from your Domain. Since the issue is resolved on a vanilla install of the OS, then whatever you have on your machine is causing the issue.
