Host files on Macs

I have been told to create host files for my Macs, cause the half wit who has created the Exchange Server will not install Macintosh Services.

Will this work or not???

Man this guy is P***ing me off. If you can't fix it in 20 call someone who can.

Matt it will work
I had the same situation in South Africa.
Once it has been created you need to drop it into the system folder.

Could not get it work in the end, added the server to the DNS in the end it worked first time!! With out the use of Services for Macintosh WOW! If you can't fix it in 20 call someone who can.
