We have two PC's(w2kpro) same IP scheme 192.68.x.x connected to a switch/router and they can see each other fine. We added a webserver in a different IP range 64.17.x.x and the PC's cannot see the webserver. Can you use the hosts file on each pc to find the webserver?

Thanks,
Dave

Well Dave,
For This you have to assign the IP 64.17.x.x to the same NIC on the W2K Svr which hosts your WB Svr. You can assign upto 5 IP's to one NIC.
Then you can..
1.Configure a local DNS Server on the machine and edit the "a-record", and use the same DNS entry in your Win9x m/c.

How can you install 5 ip's on a nic ? Is it by using a differnt adapter ? Can you segment the 5 ip's ? Jeter@LasVegas.com Remember to pass Cisco's CCNA you need at least an 849 to pass!!!
