Hi,

i'm not much of an expert on Unix, so i need help with the following:

our network admins are moving all our windows servers to a new domain. the IP addresses are not changing but the domain names are.

apart from the /etc/hosts file, are there any other files that need to be changed?

Joe

Are you running a DNS server on the Unix machines? If not, then all you will have to do is change the hosts file.

Also have a look in your /etc/resolv.conf file. Domain name and name resolution (DNS) servers are in there.

cheers
