Horizontal scrollbar for a DropDownList

I have a drop down list that is currently set to resize at 70% of the window, however I was asked to put a horizontal scrollbar in this drop down list. Is this possible? While searching for a solution, I came across a hack for a combo box, but it doesn’t seem applicable for an asp.net page. Any suggestions?

I’m assuming since no one replied to my original post, that this task of placing a horizontal scrollbar in a dropdownlist is not known or not that easy.

Where would be a good place to start researching how to hack this control?
