Hi,

I need some help ... In the property of the canvas I set the show horizontal scroll bar to 'YES'.

In the runtime the scroll bar is there but when i will drag it to move the screen to right it always go back to it's place.

How to solve this problem please help.

Thanks,
Jhoann

If you are going to scroll the canvas you will need to have the text cursor in some other place on the screen. Forms does not like the cursor to be hidden so it will always move the view so that the text cursor is visible at all times.

hi..
thank you ...

what do you mean by text cursor?
.... do i need to do some programming?

thanks,
Jhoann

The text cursor is the flashing vertical bar in a text item. If this is not visible Forms will shift the view so that it becomes visible. This may be on the same canvas shifted with a scroll bar, or on a completely different canvas accessible using (say) tabs.

Unfortunatley there are no triggers associated with scroll bars so its difficult to move the cursor around automatically. My choice is to avoid scrolling canvases and use tabs instead, where you can control the cursor position with WHEN-TAB-PAGE-CHANGED trigger.

I see , now I understand :)

Thanks a lot...

Jhoann
