Has anyone successfully hooked up a fax server through a merlin magix? I haven't worked on Magix in a while, but before you could only have 1 integrated voicemail calling group. Has this changed in more recent releases? A customer wants to get another block of DID's and hook up the fax server to analog ports, but without another integrated voicemail group, no digits will make it to the fax. Is there any other way? Thanks

You can have more than one VMI group, there is also Generic VMI available, the mode codes are a bit different.

You can install a Multitech faxfinder on a legend. Works off of coverage groups, not an Integrated VMI group.

So I just had a similar request. So if the fax server company is trying to offer my customer either a digital handoff or an analog handoff and they have enough DID's is it possible with the analog handoff to use a second vmi group or this multitech product. I expect that a T1 digital handoff is not possible unless the provider can break it off. Correct?

I have set-up a couple of faxfinders pointing a DID number to a vmi group and it works great off a PRI. The faxfinder is plugged into (2) analog ports on the Magix that are apart of the vmi group.
