We are trying to enable conferencing and tranfering on analog devices in our conference rooms via a VG224. The following link from Cisco (Page 13) says its possible if the phone has a Flash Button on the phone.

If I remember correctly you can simulate the flash button but by pressing going on hook quickly on the analog device.

Can anyone confirm this?

Yes, that is a hookflash. Speed of on/off hook action will determine if it is recognized by the VG224. Usually about a 1 sec on-hook will be sufficient.

Pndscm,

I've tried multiple amounts of seconds with no such luck. half a sec,1 sec, 2 sec, and I never get a second dial tone. Could there be a command I am missing? The phone that I am testing with is from 1985 but that shouldn't matter right?

Older phones are probably better because they actually have a mechanical hookswitch. A hookflash is a hookflash is a hookflash so I'm guessing a config issue. I haven't done a VG224 with hookflash though so I'm no expert.
