How about two words that sound the same, but mean the opposite? Or if not exactly opposite, at least moving in opposing directions.

I give you:

oral: heard
aural: spoken

raze: torn down
raise: erected

Any others?

I'm guessing that you intended:

oral: spoken
aural: heard

A couple more:

of course: following the model
off course: not following the model

I, no: I am not of the mind
I know: I am of the mind

Then why can I purchase doughnut holes at Krispy Kreme?
Frankly, because you just inadvertenly discovered yet another homophonic antonym:

doughnut hole: the absence of calories, carbs, and fat surrounded by calories, carbs, and fat.

doughnut hole: the presence of calories, carbs, and fat surrounded by the absence of calories, carbs, and fat.

<big grin>

Right?

Actually, my bad, Thomas...Your "doughnut hole" was not a homophonic antonym...it was a candidate for your other thread, "Words that are their own Antonym". Sorry,
