Homeserver only remotely accessible

Hi guys, Im new here, so correct me if I had to post this topic somewhere else.

I have the following problem. I have a homeserver (Apachi) installed with PHP and MySQl, everything is running fine. I have also isntalled Mambo CMS.

THe only problem is that I can't edit the site from my own computer, when I logon at the site, the css files and pictures wont load. This is normal cause the direction is

http://externip/image.jpg

If I set my live_site on

http://localhost

everything works fine but the outher world now has the problem of missing the pictures and css. So it seems I can't browse my extern ip.

Can anyone help me?
