I hope this is the proper forum. We need to set up a salesman in a remote city, would like to set up two lines, one incoming and one outgoing, with software that can manage two voiceboxes, and be interactive, so that if customer wants, call be be transfered by software to the outgoing line, that would automatically dial the head office number. Would this also require a dialogic card or just a standard voice modem? Would like to keep cost reasonable.
Any suggestions on lines, software, hardware?

What kind of telephone system do u have at the home office?

P.S. A message to all,if you want to get the best response to a question, please read FAQ222-2244 first. Also give the type & version of your voice mail & pbx system & preview your post to make sure it is complete & understandable. Be aware that if u don't answer a question, I usually will not continue to help u.

User has normal residential type line, Office has Meridain system with 15 lines, and Meridian Voicemail.

Mian office will be a toll call.

U might try posting in the nortel meridian forum and see if there is away for the nortel to control the calls. Avaya system have a variety of methods to have home offices so I imagine 'them thar crafty Canadians' do too.
If not, u can try posting in or google
nortel or home office.
When all else fails ask a salesperson, but don't buy the goods until u have talken to some one that isn't trying to sell u something.

I would agree, jump over to the Nortel forum.

But I currently use the Nortel HomeOffice card and interface box. These have been superceeded by the 9150 (I beleive). Makes the hom esystem look lke the office.

FYI for remoting out of an office environment to a remote location there are a variety of products by MCK called extenders. it is the same thing that most avaya remotes also use. the extender can use analog lines, bri, pri, intranet, or internet to place the office telephone directly on the desk of the home office.

If voting could really change things, it would be illegal.
