Hello,

I have set up a home network to access NTL broadband internet from two computers.

I think That I need a DNS entry to enable the second computer ta access the net through the primary system.

Does anyone know where I could get this from?

Cheers

Bob

are you asking how to I find the DNS servers on a Working Windows PC?

at a MSDOS prompt (sometimes called a command Prompt) IPCONFIG /ALL

the DNS servers used by the working PCs should be there I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

It will depend on how you have it set up. If you are using Internet connection sharing then the DNS will be IP address of the first computer (ie: 192.168.0.1). If not, you should use the same DNS as the first computer, Which can be found as suggested above.

If this doesn't work, let us know a little more how you have set up the network and we'll see what we can do.
