hello everyone,
I have an ESXI box (5.0) running call manager and UCX
both versions are 8.5.

I am still learning the ropes with Call manager..
what i've done go into enterprise configuration and changed from host name CM to IP.
I also changed to build All with false on both options of TFTP advanced.

my configuration is as followed.
192.168.0.194 is call manager and .195 is UCCX

the ip phone seems to hit 192.168.0.194 but then says SEP<MAC>CNF.XML is not found then hits a weird IP of 195.24.205.60 .

I also have TFTP and Call manager services on.. am i missing anything?

I am running VMWare Workstation and CUCM7.
Bridged mode on VM? MS Loopback?
I actually setup my CUCM to be the DHCP Server as well, seems easier and one less thing to worry about.

Hey Busster,
I call manager accessible on the same network as my other pc's.
I have a two physical phones (7960-G)

I also tried to statically add the ip configuration on the phone and it still says the cnf.xml file is not found.

DHCP handing out correct option 150, pointing toward CUCM?

hey Busster,
yea i had that option enabled in DHCP settings.

I figured out the issue.
I took the phone out of DHCP and removed just the default gateway.
then rebooted the phone, it registered to my call manager.

I did a trace on the 195.24.205.60 and it appeared to go a website which is odd.

anyways, thanks for your assistance.
