Hi all,

I am trying to understand how to ldap user after loging on different machines in network can have synced they /home directory. For example user A on machine X has /home/A,
when logged on macnine Y home directory is automatically created for him, but it is empty on machine Y. Is possibe for user A when is logged on machine Y to see his files which he has on machine X ?
Any suggestion is welcome.
Thank you

Hi elgrandeperro,

thank you for answer, actually I am using ldap for a short time. I will google for automount. Any further suggestion is welcome.
Thank you again.

Look for automountd. I believe you don't have to run NIS (use a local map) but you do have to run NFS on non exported FSs and NFS as a server on all servers that export filesystems.
