Hi everyone!
I'm new to this forum, and I've searched for old threads before I started this one, but found nothing. I believe this is a welknown problem and that it does have a fix.

I have a clinch with something I believe is a rights-problem concerning the home dirs on my server. A number of users have access to their own folders located on
f:\home\username
f:\home is shared as f:\home$.
They all find their home dirs, noboy can access anybody elses dir, and everything works nicely, except that noone can make their home dir available offline, unless I change the settings on f:\home so that they all have access to ALL home dirs. They all have FULL rights on their own dir, but that doesn't help.

Someone said it's something to do with inherited rights, but I can find nothing strange.

Tips anyone?

Thanks!

This is our setup:

1)User profile in AD: F: \\servername\jdoe$
2)f:\home\(permissions: Domain Admins - Full)
3)f:\home\jdoe$ (permissions: Domain Admins + jdoe - Full)
4)Make sure "Offline Folders" is enabled in client pc
5)Right-click "My Docs" ->properties (change target to f:\)
6)Right-click "My Docs" and synchronize

This seems to work for us and we have no problems - dunno if it will help
