The very loud POP some of you heard coming from Mitel HQ the other day apparently was the sound of someone there finally pulling their head out of their derriere.

Better 20 years late than never Mitel has just announced their own Tek-Tips style discussion forum.

Gosh!

The announcement reads in part "The Mitel Technical Support Discussion Forum is a new global self-help tool provided to our Solution Providers to facilitate collaboration and the sharing of technical knowledge between Solution Providers."

Access looks as tho it will be restricted to Mitel Solution Providers only (MOL access required), so as long overdue as it is it probably won't be too much of a threat to the continued success of the Mitel forum here on Tek-Tips.

Additional info in the announcement suggests that "Mitel" will not answer questions on the forum, rather it will be left up to fellow subscribers to answer each others questions.
 
It is a good thing... it appears to be seen and used by the dealer channel. I like it.
 
Yea, kinda nice but they got a long way to learn about setting up forums. Not the easiest to navigate. Guess we have to give them some pointers!
 
Agreed, Ever since I started working on Mitel, and this is not very long only a year and half, I've been looking for some sort of forum. I eventlually came across this one and it's like my mobile, can't live without it:)

anyway the navigation on the Mitel forum sucks a bit but sure it will get easier.
 
no i don't then us IT managers can't ask you smarty pants for help anymore. dont leave us!
 
Perhaps a "pay/incident" type of deal could be worked out Matt85?
