Does anyone know how to set up a holiday schedule on the pbx.
there is a group on our 8th floor that is not allowed to have voice mail since their boss wants the phones answered at all times. So they are asking me to set up a holiday schedules for these associates when they are closed for holidays . i did not even know that was possible. Anyone have any step by step instructions on how to accomplish this

sounds like this could be a b*****
what switch do you/they have
do you have COT's or PRI
do you want to point all incoming calls to a message ?
more info please....
Colin

WELL, IT IS AN OPTION 81C. WE HAVE BOTH COT'S AND PRI'S. I DO BELEIVE WHAT THEY WANT WOULD BE A MESSAGE TO COME UP TO SAY " TODAY IS A HOLIDAY FOR OR ORGANIZATION PLEASE CALL BACK". INSTEAD OF THE PHONE CONSTANTLY RINGING

No, it is not an acd group. there are about 20 associates and they all have their own did numbers

simple way to do this.

1. Create a ACDN
2. Create a holiday menu or anounment only in Meridian Mail
3. At each phone you have a forward button.
4. Forward Calls to the ACDN number when you have a holiday.

Hope this help!

Hi
Riptech is right ACD is the way to go,,, are you OK about setting it up ??
Colin

you will also need to assign the phone extentions in the vsdn table pointed to the holiday greeting for each phone that will use this feature.
