Hi Group,
I have 14 parameters in my report. The user would like to be able to enter 'ALL' or a specific value to retrieve data from the database for either or all parameters!!
I'm not sure how to construct the record selection formula without having IF statements for ALL possible combinations... not very efficient.

Can I use holding variables and construct the **final** selection with the holding variables. If so, any ideas how I would go about doing this?

Kind Regards

Have a look at faq767-3825. There are some good pointers there on how to construct your record selection formula to use 'All' for one or more parameters.
