Any ideas about this problem my customer is having ??

Let's say someone is dialing 9 to get an outside line, then presses 1 for long distance. If they hold the number 1 too long it calls 911. I wonder if there is a setting to extend the repeatability of a number if held too long.

Mitel 3300 with a 2000SX (Switch model is 3300LX) and SC1000 Console.

Thanks in advance for your help.

It is unlikely a matter of holding to long but more "Bouncing" the button entered 2 1's.

If the system is configured to accept 911 without the leading 9 it will dial 911.

A simple solution is to add 911N as another dialed digit string that will fail to route.

Adjust the cialing conflict timer to a suitable duration to allow the actual 911 calls to proceed but if any additional digits are dialed the call fails instead of dialing 911.

Thanks, not seen that problem on any other type of PBX either, but had to ask.
