Can someone please help with the following scenario?

1.User has call on phone and places it on hold.
2.Hold Timeout expires and rings back to phone that placed call on hold plus additional other phones.

Can this be done? I was thinking with Coverage or Bridged Appearance...however when tested this did not work. Is there perhaps something else in addition that may need to be done?

I don't think this can be done, I imagine there is little demand for it to be honest, if you did appearence buttons they would alert for normal calls not even sure they would alert for a ringback though :)

The feature you describe is standard.
In system>telephony you can define the hold timeout time.

If a user puts a call on hold then after the hold timeout the extension will start ringing, if the user does not answer the call will eithr go to the users divert on no answer destination ( if set ) or the call goes to the coverage group ( 5.0 feature ) or the call will go to voicemail ( if available ) if neither of these options is set then the phone will ring infinite until caller disconnects

I think he wants it instantly to ring on all with the ringback, otherwise yeah it will overflow as a normal call :)

Use a park group instead of hold and have it queue for however long you want it to be "held" (actually in queue)and then roll into another group where all users are in you want to ring.
Workaround not really a hold but would do what you want just not with teh convenience of the "Hold" button.

Thanks for the replies fellas...I'll try these suggestions and see if I get lucky...

amriddle, don't think this can be done now either.

intrigrant, I'm using a 4.2 version IPO and do not find a "divert on no answer destination" option. Also, no matter how I program the call on hold cannot go to "the coverage group," it comes off hold and rings only the phone that put the call on hold.

Westi, I also tried the park group configuration and the call comes off park and rings the original phone that put the call on park.

Any other suggestions?

Tranfer the call to a group with user in that group but not checked (not in the group) and put a group in the overflow
Set the overflow timer to the desired hold timer
Turn on queuing

The call will stay in the queue for that time and then it overflows to the overflow group

IF they want the call back then they can get it back with F6 (reclaim call)

But then it is the last transfered call !

Well, you can do this, however the extension you program into the group has to be able to physically ring. I tried this and used an analog extension that did not physically exist anywhere except on the system port and it worked fine, however that was not exactly what I wanted to do. Even if you put an extension in that group and not "check-it" in that group --it won't work. The extension would have to be able to physically/audibly ring or the call will not be transfered to the group.
Any other suggestions? or are we all out of options as expected?

you need to make the group queued and rollover into another group with the users in it that you want to get the ringback, you send the caller to the queued group and if you don't create a queued point in VM Pro and make it not play a sound file you actually get the default queued message from the VM Pro. Try it I have a site setup with 8 park zones that way and it works, you just need to get the timing right
