Hold not releasing

I Have a problem with a Legend rel 4.where every couple of days I have to turn off the phone system and restart to clear lines that are on hold and/or busy and they are not released.
The hold disconnect is set up to long to be able to do remote forwarding. Your help would be appreciated.

Is reliable disconnect set to "on"? Are the trunks correctly set as all "loop" or all "ground"?

Well, if your FORWARDING is working, then you probably have RELIABLE Disconnect set to YES.

Therefore, it sounds like you are not getting a forward disconnect signal from your vendor.

They should be able to fix that, OR, you could opt for GROUND START Lines.

 
George - the other possibility is that your telco does not require the hold disconnect set to long - but rather short. Did you try remote forward with it set to short AND reliable disconnect set to "on"? You can always call them and ask what their requirements are.

Thanks for answering. When I first installed the system the only way to get remote forwarding to work was to change the hold disconnect from short to long. I have not tried the reliable disconnect, and I will check it Monday. By the way the Company that they use is CBeyond (VOIP)We have loop start lines(I don't know if VOIP can provide Ground Start)
 
I do not believe voip can provide ground start lines. Make sure reliable disconnect is set to "on". Try shortening the hold - and see what happens to your problem.

If I change the hold it will work but then I can not use remote forwarding. I will check Monday to see if reliable disc. is on.
