Need to remove the hold music - how and how can I replace?

not sure where in mitel is that hold music located im pretty sure it would be embedded.

Depends on version, your best bet is to sort forms alphabetically and look for Music.
If you decide to upload a new file it will need 8000hz mono ulaw format.

What system you talking about?

An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Anyone else and you need to throw it harder.

System Audio Files Update is the programming form where you can select the audio file to use and upload a new file. As mentioned elsewhere, a new file needs to be 8khz mono ulaw with a .wav extension. If you have the file you want to use in another format you can use Audacity to change it.

To turn MOH off go to Systems Options>Music On Hold and set to No. To change MOH do what Lundah says about uploading a new MOH file.

Moh can be an internal file or an attached external device like a CD player. You would have to determine which you have and if external its easy enough to change or shut off. To turn off follow SXWizard suggestion. To replace you need to upload the new file. Enterprise Manager has an audio file tool. MCD 6 has a tab for managing MOH. I don't have a MCD 4 system handy to look where the audio file upload is but it is I think part of the GUI ( might be under maintenance. )
