I'm at customers site now and I'm having a problem with a Partner R7. If I'm talking on line 1 and (without pressing hold) I switch to line 2 it places the caller on hold but gives no visual indication on any phone. If I manually put them on hold it gives the visual. This one is wierd.

Well, without a visual indication, it's not the Partner that's holding the line open.

To verify, swap the CO lines, and see if the trouble moves with the dial tone, or stays with the CO port.

The r6 would put the line on hold and give you a visual if you swapped between line without pressing hold, I think.

The problem is on all lines. This customer has a t1 with the lines broken out on a 66 block. Should I play with the disconnect time or call the provider.

It's the provider. Verify with a butt set at the 66 block. They will need to upgrade the channel bank's software, or the channel bank itself.
