I have been able to find very little in regards to documentation on the Cache Server. Does anyone have any good resources, specifically, information on whether or not you can pass parameters to a Cached report? For instance, based on a parameter, a detail section would be suppressed or displayed. What I am looking to do is run one huge report, once a night, and then during the day users would pass this cached report a parameter, thus, tailoring the view of the report.

thanks

The cache server is responsible for serving cached report pages to the users. It allows reports to be cached so subsequent views of the same report do not have to run against the database again.

You should look into Processing Extensions. This would give you the functionality your are looking for in regards to tailoring the view for the specific user. I am not sure if they work for both the Page Server and Job Server, but it would be worth researching. You can write your own or check out View Time Security from APOS
