Hello;

Does anyone know the procedure to stop bootp from witing out to the message file? I don't want to disable bootp from inetd.conf, but rather, I'd be happy if the messages would not appear in /var/adm/messages.

Regards
Jeff

Have you read the man page for bootpd ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

Also, depending on OS, the [tt]/etc/syslog.conf[/tt] file controls what gets logged and where by the system logger. This is the daemon that writes to [tt]/var/adm/messages[/tt]. You may be able to tweak it here.

Hope this helps.
