Hi, while working on an HP 5300i RAID Array controler via ACU, somehomw I managed to instead of extending the Logical volume, created a new one. Then I created a partition in Windows management console and Spanned the Data disk (that was running out of space and initiated this process) over to the newly created partition. Now I can see that the drive size has increased but its not what I intended to do. Can I break this spanning thing and go back to what it was before and then do it again through the ACU without loosing Data?

If not then is it safe to keep running in this Spanned volume scenario?

If answer to both the above questions is no, then I will backup all the Data and then Rebuild the ARRAY and copy it back, as a last resort.

Regards,
