Hey all! Here's the scenerio....

I have a report that pulls images in. It worked great until this morning. Now, when you try to run it, you get an "Automation error" and Access 97 quits. So, I went into design view and went to look at the "On Format" procedure...it quit again....so I tried to delete the report and recreate it....the program quits and does not delete it! And it won't let me rename it because it comes up with an error "Automation Error" "Save request failed"...I've repaired the database..all other reports are working great....any suggestions?

Have you tried it on another PC. Could be a configuration or registry setting on ur PC that is wacking it out. htwh,

yeah...it does the same thing on other computers. I'm wondering if maybe it is a network issue.....the images are linked, therefore it pulls the images in at runtime...could this casue the automation error? Although I dont understand the not being able to delete, cut, or rename the report...

Try to place the database on a local PC... Also, I guessed that you have compacted the database. There are size limitations remember: ACC-97 1GB and ACC-2K+ 2GB. Are there any disk space issues on the server? htwh,

yeah...the db is 35 megs, and the server is showing 37 gigs free. I tried moving it to a local machine right after I sent the post, but the same message....I'm gonna try to compact it again....
