Hi everyone,
I have a PCL with a lot of code snippets like the following

0000308b PCL Control Code <CR> Carriage Return
0000308c PCL Control Code <LF> Line Feed
0000308d PCL Parameterised <Esc>&a1207V Cursor Position Vertical (1207 decipoints)
00003095 PCL Parameterised <Esc>&a3698H Cursor Position Horizontal (3698 decipoints)
0000309d PCL Parameterised <Esc>(0N Primary Font: Symbol Set (0N = ISO 8859-1 Latin 1)
000030a1 PCL Parameterised <Esc>(s1p Primary Font: Spacing: Proportional
000030a6 6v Primary Font: Height (6 points)
000030a8 0s Primary Font: Style (Upright, solid)
000030aa 0b Primary Font: Stroke Weight: Medium
000030ac 4148T Primary Font: Typeface (4148 = Univers)
000030d3 Data T
000030d4 PCL Parameterised <Esc>&k0002.833H Horizontal Motion Index (0002.833/120 inches)
000030e0 Data Besch<ext>ftigungsgrad
000030f2 PCL Control Code <CR> Carriage Return
000030f3 PCL Control Code <LF> Line Feed

Start a line, set a font, set HMI, print a word, start a line.
Does a HMI command play any role here? The reference book tells, that for proprotional fonts HMI
affects only space width, and there is no spaces here, but the result do seem to be a bit more
tight, that it should be with Univers. May be there is some other effect of HMI setting, which
I am missing? Cursor position rounding? Or is it completely meaningless setting?
Thank you very much in advance, you are always helpful!

The HMI should have NOTHING to do with this. What do you see if you print the code, both with and without the HMI code. Is there a difference?

The other possibility is there is a bug in your computer firmware. Over the years I have seen bugs in different printer models. If you have access to more than one printer model, compare results. Certainly, the dpi of the coordinate system can have an effect on the pint width of proportional text.

Thank you very much, I'll do this check.
