Hi,
How do I get the HMC machine type from WebSM.
Thanks
Oray

currently i'm not in the office, i will be there tomorrow

could you try

lshmc -v

man lshmc

Regards,
Khalid

lshmc is CLI method. I'd think there would be an "About" screen that you can call up from websm which gives the same info?

If you have any serviceable events listed by the hmc itself under service focal point, it would list the reporting MTMS which would give you what you're looking for.

Again, that would only work if there were any serviceable events reported from the hmc itself.

Chuck

You can see the hmc machine type from websm:

In left-hand panel (tree view)
=> Open desired HMC in websm
=> Open branch (Service Applications)
=> Open 3d subbranch (Remote Support)
In right-hand panel (items view)
=> Click on last item (Customize Service Settings)

You get a pop-up with your HMC and all managed systems.
The second column contains machine_type/serial_number

=> Click Cancel to close the pop-up
