HMC console

Is there a way to set up the hmc such that the screen will lock after a length of inactivity? I could not find any options searching through the hmc menus.

My workgroup was unable to find a way to lock the screen when we checked too.

There probably is a way to "hack" the console and force it to lock, but we didn't pursue it. Please post back if you figure out a way.

On p4 HMCs there's a lock icon on the toolbar.

On p5 HMCs there's a lock command in the popup menu:
left click on the X backdrop -> lock -> console (from memory so don't hit me if I got it wrong ;-)).

Haven't found a way to auto-lock after X minutes of inactivity - sorry.

I don't think it is doable automatically! I usually do it manually when i want to keep my windows open (instead of logging off!)
