How does the HL10 (which physically lifts the handset when ctivated) have any affect on answering a call ringing at the 4424LD+?
I am considering adding an HL10 handset lifter to our CS50 wireless headset that is connected to a 4424LD+. The HL10 is supposed to allow the user to answer a call to his/her phone from remote. What I don't understand is how this works on the 4424LD+. When a headset is being used, the 4424LD+ operator pushes her Headset toggle button so that sound comes out her headset and not the handset. Once in headset mode, the system doesn't care if this handset is on-hook or off-hook. In fact, when in headset mode, all calls have to be disconnected using the headset hangup button I have programmed. So how does the HL10 (which physically lifts the handset when activated) have any affect on answering a call ringing at the 4424LD+ when in headset mode?

You're going to need to connect the headset to the handset connector, and the handset to the headset's base unit. The base unit will have an "A/B" switch to select headset or handset, and you will not be using the Headset Status or Hangup buttons at all.

As TTT Stated, the HL10 pretty much negates the Headset Status button.

It will LIFT THE HANDSET, thus connecting the HEADSET to the call.

Prior to pushing the Button on the CS50, a caller will hear ringing (a tone) in their ear, and will know they are receiving a call.

At that point, pressing the button on the Wireless Headset, the lifter will do it's thing, and the call will be connected.

I used one of these (or something similar) in a previous life.

Ok that makes sense. Thanks for the information. I had ignored the devices before due to cost, but I have recently found a supplier selling new CS50s and HL10s bundled together for $204 plus a $25 to $50 rebate, no tax, and free shipping.
