is there a easy way to count the number of hits on the Cognos Connection, per cube and/or reports ?

Enable auditing. For IWR, I recommend setting up an auditing database. That way you can see who is using what, when, what format, etc. For PPES, you have to do more work, as the file cannot automatically write to an external database.
