I am having a problem with the hit area of my buttom. I made the entire area as a hit area but when you rollover the text the curser changes. And to activate the buttom you have to hit it on the side of the text

In the hit keyframe, draw a rectangle (using the Rectangle tool), covering the whole area of your text. Hey! You can make as big as the whole movie!

;-)

I have a large hit area it is twice the size of the word enter, but it still does not activate directly over the text.

I have made quite a few just today, yesterday, and all the time. I would have to say that there is something in error. I always put a keyframe in every spot (up,over, down, hit) and in the hit frame i use the rectangle tool and cover up the text or button. Works great for me.

I find that if you leave / use text in the hit area then it doesn't always like it; try drawing your rectanlge and then deleteing anything else in the hit area, and also delete the lines from round the edge of the hit rectangle (if you see what I mean).

agreed the hit frame should be empty except for the rectangle..

What about the keyframe? I always put the text on a different layer if the button is what is doing the animation, no probs that way.
