Where is the Internet Explorer history file located on the hard drive and is there a way to view it in notepad or something. I dont want to delete it while in Internet Explorer.

There is no history file. Your history is stored in the history folder at c:\windows\history. If there are certain websites you want to delete then you can delete them individually from there or delete them all at once.
