Trying to get a handle on some code snippets that will enlighten what passes for my mind on how a frameset based page with different html pages in each frame can be navigated all at once. That is, how to program the contents of the history array so that all the pages load afresh on going back or forth . . . or something like that???

I keep reading stuff about this, but it doesn't seem to penetrate the murk at all.

The present solution is simple, hit the back button three times. But that means the user has to be able to count to more than two ... doh!
