We are running SCCS 4.2. Our users are accessing reports via the Symposium Web Server using Windows XP. They can all see Real Time Reports but are having problems seeing historical reports. They can access the historical reports menu, select the report, fill in the paramaters/filters but when they choose "run now" the second screen pops up, then just stays blank. Eventually you have to either exit out or end task. Any suggestions regarding what could cause this?

Thanks In Advance

Is your user just using the standard report provided by the Symposium?

I have not used the web client before. But in the SMI world, you cannot set or filter anything in the standard report. You need to duplicate the standard report to a user-modified report, and then you can filter the report you want.

All the reoprts they are running are under the Public Reports Templates and you are correct they have been duplicated so they can modify them.

If the report is created from Crystal, and upload to Symposium, you need to pay attention to the database alias. It is case sensitive.

If the report is the standard report provided by Symposium, and you duplicate it, it should work fine. The only thing I can think of is user setting an inappropriate filter.

I shall suggest you (or whoever has more experience in running the report) to test the report in that public folder. If you (or they) can run it, it will be the improper filtering issue. Test different report to see whether it is only a problem to one report, or all that you tested.

Improper filtering may be using the wrong time zone, select the selection criteria that has no record during that period, etc.

Also, if those report is activated for a printing schedule, deactivate it before using run now.
