Hi All, I'm running a metrics report, of a live database at scheduled times off no activity.

I need to create a report that reports on the previous weeks data for comparison in the format

% 1/4 2/4 3/4 4/4
X 12 3 7 5 4
y 24 2 1 3 5
z 35 9 9 9 9

the 1/4, 2/4, and 3/4 columns would contain historic data, and 4/4 would be the week ran off the live, is there a way that you can systematically save data to a report like this, or will i have to create a sub report that connects to an archive table \ database while the other connects to the live.

Thanks in advance

I'd suggest you create a formula field which sorts record into live or one of the historic category. Use this for your group or crosstab value.

No, you can't get the report to "store" the old data. It will need to be recreated each time, or you need to use a different method to store it.

You might Union the Historic and current data together, and use it all in one report.

This would be based on the database/version and your ability and permissions to build database objects, such as a View or Stored Procedure.

Depending on the database design, you might even be able to join the tables.
